There was a supermarket nearby, a breakfast spot, and the scenery was beautiful; the room was decent and the bed comfortable, just a 15‑minute brisk walk to town. However, there were many stairs and no elevator, the closet door wouldn’t open, the veranda door also wouldn’t open, the floor tiles were shaky, and no “do not disturb” sign meant the maid entered every day whether I wanted her or not.

“I wish I could have stayed another night but unfortunately it was fully booked”

The place turned out far better than the pictures suggested; the old colonial building has high ceilings, stunning bay views, a huge comfy bed, and is conveniently within walking distance of the jetty, restaurants, and bars. I liked everything about it.
