“Wonderful owner, poor facility”
Beautiful location. Rooms are run down. Clearly this is a business operating at reduced capacity with limited services.

Location and free parking on the road outside. Bedding was fresh and clean. The photos on the website didn't match reality; they showed a sharp, bright, immaculate room and ensuite, but the actual rooms were very tired with peeling wallpaper, mushroom/mould behind and on curtains, and a musty smell, especially in the ensuite. The shower was grubby, so I didn't use it. The hotel is being run on a shoe‑string budget before a sale. For example, the small butter blocks at breakfast tasted rancid, although the rest of the breakfast was good.

A real hidden treasure. The breakfast was gorgeous, the bed was incredibly cozy, and we adored the three tiny dogs that welcomed us. It felt like home. Thanks, Susan, for an amazing stay.
