The place is well situated and within walking distance of the city, and checking in was straightforward. However, a weird odor lingered in the room, one power outlet was dead, the Wi‑Fi was unreliable, the fan barely worked, and the window opened onto the main walkway, making it difficult to cool the room.

I couldn’t really say much; at the last minute I received a message that the room had a plumbing issue, so I had to scramble for another place, which luckily worked out without much trouble. It seems they had no vacant rooms left.

The property is unique: the top‑floor room, tucked among the rafters, captured the old building’s character. My visit was hassle‑free and convenient overall. The host was kind and helpful, especially since I arrived by bike and let me store it in the building. One thing to note about the electricity: the room had only a single Schuko outlet, the rest were Italian Type L, so bring the right plugs.

The location is 1 km from the train station and 1 km from Piazza del Campo, easily reachable on foot. The premises were neglected and poorly cleaned, with ants in both the bathroom and kitchen. The owners offered no welcome and ignored an email sent 10 days in advance. I received access instructions via WhatsApp, including a video that poorly represented the current state of the accommodation.
