“Nice to walk down the street at night without being run over.”
The hotel sits in a quiet spot far from city traffic, and the swimming pool is beautiful. The rooms are large, but they could use some chairs inside to sit on.

The little hotel near Ubud’s center is peaceful, the room is very clean, and the pool is lovely. The owners try hard to satisfy you, even bringing me a pot of Matcha jam to take home. The pool’s bathroom needs renovation. I booked with breakfast included, but the staff told me they were offering breakfast instead, which is essentially the same but awkward.

The hotel is modest and in need of renovation, yet well kept and quiet away from Ubud’s frenzy. For the price it’s great. Breakfast is very basic but served with a lot of friendliness! There’s a good bakery nearby, and the reception is helpful. A 1‑hour ube massage in a hotel hut is inexpensive—worth it! We stayed 6 nights and had plenty to see around. In Ubud, it’s about a 20‑minute walk via the monkey forest path (otherwise 30 minutes in traffic.). The street is quiet, but bring earplugs because construction is happening next door, and animal noises occur at night. We didn’t enter the forest because we saw monkeys during breakfast or while walking around. There’s no restaurant at the hotel in the evening, but plenty on the street—Lakaleke, or a very good Indian place. Thanks. The gardens are cleaned, yet some common areas of the hotel are dirty and neglected, especially the pool’s toilets, which are unclean and lack paper. Breakfast is minimal, no buffet.

Breakfast is simple but fine. The service is good, the room is spacious, and the staff and owner are very helpful. It’s located on a nice quiet street with many coffee shops and restaurants. There were several defects in the room: a broken window latch, two broken curtains. After reporting, they were fixed, but why weren’t they noticed during room preparation? The shower is only a handheld one, the TV is in a bad spot, not viewable from bed. The room felt dated and not well maintained; cleaning—especially above eye level—could really improve.
