The location is good, making it a solid choice for breakfast.

The location is very good, close to the bus, and the welcome and Tilly (the dog in the facility) were great… The breakfast was excellent… The beds were not very comfortable, and there were some shortcomings typical of an old building.

The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, but the hotel’s style and its access to the motorway were not ideal.

The place was conveniently off the motorway, but the staff’s behavior was bizarre – the guy who showed us the room seemed to think his kids and dog were joining us! The room itself was cold, dark, unclean, with a window left open that smelled damp, and my iPad was bigger than the TV that sat in the corner. I asked him to turn on the heating because the radiator didn’t work, and I was annoyed that the room wasn’t what was advertised; we even debated leaving right then. We didn’t want to take off our shoes and clothes to get into the bed because it was that grotty. If it hadn’t been so late, I would have booked somewhere else, but for anyone reading this just book a Travel Lodge.
