“particularités pratiques et fonctionnelles”
The cleanliness is impeccable, the reception is very pleasant, and the décor is tastefully done. The house has genuine charm and beautiful features, especially the magnificent floor on the upper level. However, there are a few things I would have liked to know before booking. This is not a critique but a share of my experience to help future guests. * Access to the room: it’s on the upper floor, reached by a long concrete staircase of about fifteen steps with a quarter turn. The climb can be tricky with heavy or bulky luggage, and for people with reduced mobility, like me, it’s a real constraint. * House rules: shoes are forbidden inside the house. It’s a reasonable choice, but it’s better to know beforehand. * Sound insulation: the beautiful floor that adds to the charm is unfortunately very noisy. The slightest movement echoes throughout the house. Sharing the house with the owner can limit privacy and requires some discretion in moving around. * Bathroom: it’s very pretty, but the layout feels impractical. The large bathtub, placed in the middle of the room, makes use difficult, especially since you’re asked not to splash water outside. Taking a shower or bath requires some precautions. * Small practical details: I also regretted the lack of bath linens; only toilet towels were provided, and there was no simple glass to rinse your mouth. In short, it’s a charming, very clean, and tastefully decorated place, but it has some practical and functional quirks that I think are useful to know before booking.
