How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The hotel is located in a market but otherwise a fine hotel. No trouble with market noises or anything. No 24‑hour reception. And by the way there is no window in the room, which can be annoying. The lack of a window in the room was the issue.

An excellent stay in Seoul – highly recommended! We spent 7 nights at Dongdaemun Karrot Hostel. The place is very comfortable, quiet, clean and has everything needed for a pleasant stay, including air‑conditioning and good privacy in the rooms. All bathroom and shower essentials were available: towels, various soaps, shampoo and other useful products. The Wi‑Fi is also very fast and works perfectly in all rooms. What I appreciated most was the exceptional kindness of the staff. They are extremely welcoming, polite, respectful and always ready to help. They gladly give advice and useful information about Seoul and Korea, sometimes even before you ask for anything. This is the first time, among all my stays in hotels and accommodations, that a host himself takes the time to explain where the supplies are stored and tells you to use them freely if you need something or if something runs out. I found this attention truly remarkable and very much appreciated. The location is also excellent. The property is in a very lively neighbourhood, at the heart of popular Korean markets, while still being calm to rest. It is very well situated to discover Seoul and allows easy access to many tourist sites. It is near two metro stations serving lines 1 and 4, as well as several public transport stops, making travel around Seoul particularly easy. Our stay was more than pleasant. We felt very well welcomed and will keep a great memory of our stay here.

The hotel is close to downtown, easy to reach, and the bed was comfortable—perfect for a short stay. It’s also very near metro stations and the airport bus stop, making travel around convenient.

The location is convenient, but there’s no lift to the 4th floor, so the stairs are a bit of a hassle.
