The hotel is located in a small valley, absolutely quiet, perfect for relaxing. If you want to leave your car, there’s a bus stop right in front of the door, and with the Sauerlandkarte you can use public transport for free. When we arrived, a parking spot was shown to us and we were helped with our luggage. Check‑in took a long time but all our questions were answered, so we felt comfortable immediately. Our room was very spacious and well furnished; although the furniture is a bit dated, it’s not a complaint. Everything was functional and in excellent condition. The bathroom had a shower and a small bathtub, which we especially enjoyed after days on the slopes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a wide selection and, while it was the same every day, it was adequate. The restaurant’s small menu satisfied both vegetarians and meat or fish lovers. We tried a few dishes and liked them; we’d gladly come back. The only thing that bothered us was that our room was in a wing only reachable by a narrow staircase, which might have been difficult if we had mobility issues, but we’re sure the nice and competent staff would have found a solution.
