The location was close to Besse’s historic centre and quiet; the parking at the foot of the hotel was useful, and the staff were helpful, but the rooms lacked soundproofing and there was a very unpleasant odor in the room.

The hotel was well‑situated with a family vibe, the manager went out of her way to satisfy guests, we stayed a week on half‑board and the meals were hearty, well presented, and good quality for a reasonable price, but the room had no balcony.

The hotel was just right for its price, central and calm, and the pool was a bonus, but breakfast could have included regional products and the mattress was a bit soft.

For hikers the location is ideal and the staff are pleasant, yet the reception opens only at 16:30, the pool is cold, and there is no sauna or jacuzzi (even though the booking details listed them).
