The spot was perfect for Torquay arena and a 10‑minute walk to the town centre, plus the parking space was a nice bonus. The room felt a bit dated and the toilet made noise when in use.

The bedroom offered plenty of storage and had phone chargers on both sides of the bed; the bed was comfy and the windows blocked road noise well. We stayed at the front of the building next to the toad, and the bus stop was less than a 2‑minute walk. A towel rail or hooks in the bathroom would be useful, and there was a slight Asian cooking smell from a nearby takeaway, but it wasn’t overpowering.

Summary of this review
The guest house was lovely and the host was very friendly, even cooking a really nice breakfast. Nothing else was lacking.

Sandy gave a very warm welcome and made me feel at home throughout my stay. The breakfast was really good. I booked the economy room on the top floor, which was functional and the bed very comfortable for the price. The shower had very little water pressure and took a long time to get hot; an electric unit might be better. The location was ideal, with nice bedroom views and a short walk to the harbour, where there were good places to eat, drink, and enjoy nightlife. Overall a pleasant stay that I would repeat.
