The Zetter is a beautiful hotel with quirky decor and a comfortable feel, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating, but two big problems occurred: the ceiling air conditioning dripped onto the floor all night and a fire alarm rang at 3.30am, keeping me awake for two hours, and no compensation was offered after I reported both to the front desk.

The interiors were gorgeous and the location convenient, yet staff weren’t always available; sometimes you had to wait or simply leave the key at the desk instead of handing it to a person.

The hotel is centrally located to shops, restaurants, cafés and Oxford Street; from arrival the staff made us feel welcome, we received a complimentary drink of our choice, the bar is eclectically furnished and the hostess was fabulous, the property is beautifully decorated, the room was a good size with many snacks in the mini‑bar and well appointed, there is a lift, and we absolutely loved staying here and will return.

We had a room on a top floor with an outside bath on the roof, which was a good idea, but the bottled water in the room was bad because it was tap water in the bottle.
