The staff were very helpful and sweet. The room was cozy. There were no entertainment options on the TV such as Prime, Netflix, or YouTube, which are minor necessities when vacationing. A night in with a good movie when you don’t have a laptop is ideal. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay.

Good location. It was very quiet and the internet was fast and reliable. The front staff only spoke basic English, and the housekeeping staff didn’t speak English either. The locks on the sliding glass entry door needed to be stronger. Breakfast was very limited; the only options were in an adjoining cafe. With all payments being digital, I couldn’t pay because the payment could only be made via a local bank app that didn’t work on my phone. The cafe wouldn’t accept credit cards, and the site wouldn’t add breakfast to my room tab.

The room was clean and the air‑con worked great. The pool area was lovely and relaxing. They also have a cafe and deliver food to your room or the pool area. The staff are so great here. This was by far my best stay while in Thailand.

R1 is a very nice and cozy place with great amenities. And most importantly the staff and owner are incredibly friendly treating you like family !! Big recommendation. And lastly, the cafe is also very convenient with great lunch at good prices :)

The resort exceeded every expectation; the staff were incredibly warm and attentive, from reception to housekeeping. Every morning I enjoyed a complimentary breakfast that tasted fantastic, thanks to a chef who was also very friendly. My room had a pleasant layout and all the basics—kettle, hair dryer, fresh towels, water, and toilet paper—were provided daily, giving a luxurious feel. Breakfast room snacks and tea bags were always on hand. After housekeeping’s visit, the room smelled fresh and clean. The pool was well maintained, and the overall vibe was cozy and welcoming. I felt safe, comfortable, and relaxed, and I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Chiang Mai.
