The staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was full of character relating to its history in Cruden Bay which was lovely. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and catered for a low fat, low salt and low sugar diet. It would have been nice to have been offered help to carry our suitcase up the stairs as there is no lift at the property

I slept in a tidy, comfy room and hit up the sports bar, lounge, and restaurant. The menu offered a wide range of dishes, each served in generous portions and cooked to perfection. Nothing else to complain about.

The spot was ideal for visiting family, the beach, and Slains Castle. My room was huge, warm, and spotless, and breakfast came free. Other meals were reasonably priced and came in huge portions.

The location was fine. I stayed in room 1, which must have been above the kitchen, and it was very warm on the first night.
