The place is well situated in the heart of Meldorf and the staff were super nice; the dinner restaurant was also very good. We stayed in a side building, the room was quite small, and the furnishings were outdated.

Breakfast was good and plentiful, special requests were met, and the separate entrance to the rooms is a plus. The cozy restaurant is available and we really liked the food there. Nothing negative stood out.

Everything was fine until the Meldorfer Dom.

Check‑in was straightforward, the staff friendly, breakfast very good. The dinner at the restaurant was also very good. Our room was fine. The slightly woody, stale smell in the side building’s room was not allergy‑friendly. It was worsened by the carpeted floors everywhere and the old wooden cabinets that absorb the house’s moisture and then release it. The creaking of the floorboards and the steep stairs didn’t bother us because we live in an old house ourselves, but we managed the smell with dryness in the house.
