The cheap rate with breakfast included was perfect for someone like me who dislikes extra services, making it a wonderful hotel, and I’m just sad it closes in October.

The location is superb – you won’t struggle to find food and it’s close to Kumamoto Castle Hall, plus you can walk mostly in shade, which is a relief in the summer heat.

The place was very comfortable and the service was thorough; the receptionist’s cute smile lifted my travel fatigue. I mentioned I’d be arriving on a motorbike, but some of the listed parking spots didn’t accept bikes, which made things difficult – it would have helped to receive only the bike‑compatible locations.

Location, value for money, cleanliness, service and breakfast were the best I’ve experienced at this price point, but the parking lot was full and I had to wander around looking for a spot.
