“It was a budget stay and you get what you pay for.”
We liked that the property was close to restaurants and convenience stores. A generator was also available at certain hours (sleeping time) and the staff were very helpful. The water situation caught us off guard. Though the staff explained why and they managed to provide water by manually fetching. Also the room feels smaller than expected.
“Vraiment pas top pour le prix.”
The location is perfect, but the accommodation is really unusable. There is NO sink in the “bathroom,” which is only practical for brushing teeth or washing hands… for that price you can find something much better. It feels like the cabins aren’t finished… the beach is on the other side of the street. The cabins are at the back of a construction site. The bathroom is truly minimalistic, the toilet is literally almost under the shower.
“The location is really nice and staff were actually accommodating so I hope they would improved their facilities.”
The spot is nice, but the electricity problem on the island is a real hassle. They should have warned us at check‑in, especially since the blackout can last a long time and the generator isn’t started during daytime outages. On our second day the blackout stretched on, so we had to text them after lunch to ask what was happening, because no one had mentioned the generator issue. The air‑conditioner is also a problem; the room is big, yet the unit is too small to cool it quickly. We couldn’t tolerate the heat and had to leave after two nights. The water bottle they gave us was half empty, giving the impression it hadn’t been replaced from the last guest’s cabin, so we used it to brush our teeth and bought our own water. The towels were old too, so we brought our own.
“Parfait pour 1 ou 2 nuit”
The place is very well located on San Juan’s main street, and you can enjoy a beautiful sunset across the street. The room is simple and functional, and the AC works great. The cabins sit on a construction site, the path is under work but nothing insurmountable. The family who hosted me is very kind and attentive. Just so you know, there’s no hot water, the bathroom is simple.
