The spot is spot‑on for getting around, and the restaurant served what has to be the best meals we tasted in all of China. The room itself was pretty bare‑bones, but we knew that going in and it didn’t bother us. Overall, a solid stay for the price.

Loved how close the hotel is to the river, and the owners were genuinely friendly – the lady at the front desk even spoke fluent English. It made the whole visit feel easy and relaxed.

The location can’t be beat – right by the Li River ferry, cafés, shops and a bus stop all within walking distance. Staff were welcoming, chatted in English, and got us checked in straight away. Nothing else to complain about.

The hotel sits right in the heart of the city, close to every major sight, and we were let into our room ahead of schedule. The room was tiny and the building shows its age – even the toilet had a fresh coat of paint – but it had all the basics we needed for a day‑long luggage drop‑off. For the same price we could have booked a Yangshuo apartment with a better view and newer furnishings.
