I stayed in a quiet, large old‑building room, which surprised me because the hotel is marketed as a youth hostel, but I was happy with it. The bed was very comfortable, and both the S‑ and U‑Bahn stations were within walking distance. The only issue was that the shower couldn’t be height‑adjusted.

Unaufgefordert SMS Taxi ist zum genannten Zeit 18.30 Uhr Ankunft zu Ihnen auf dem Weg. Die Telefon Nummer falsch nur ein Rauschen, Taxi Gutschein 17,10 Euro, war kein richtiger Gutsschein. Taxi kam nie. Sollte Europaplatz 1 fahren. Ich dorthin, es war Adresse vom Hauptbahnhof. Mails sind noch auf meinen Handy. 270,-- Euro nicht mehr erhalten

I booked on a whim, with barely any help, because a relative’s vague Google Maps tip pointed me here for a funeral at the Alter St. Matthäus Kirche. The facilities were more than adequate and spotless—no unpleasant odors that low‑budget hotels usually have. Its proximity to the S‑ and U‑Bahn made getting to the hotel from the airport a breeze, even though it was my first time flying into Berlin from abroad. I liked the room’s lighting, blinds, and the handy accessories like a blow dryer, and the communal vibe was a big plus. I’m not a TV person, so the lack of one didn’t bother me. The area was lively with outdoor dining, kiosks, markets, and plenty of interesting people. Check‑in and check‑out were quick and convenient. If I visit Berlin again, I’ll definitely stay here again. The only gripe: management didn’t let me know the cleaning schedule. I stayed 5 nights and my room was never cleaned. I kept it tidy, so I wasn’t too uncomfortable, but because of the zero‑contact check‑in I didn’t even know whom to talk to about it.

I’ve stayed here several times now; the beds are unbeatable in comfort, the rooms are spacious, the high ceilings and simple design are my absolute comfort criteria, and the staff are always easy to reach and helpful.
