The hotel's location near Mardin Castle is unbeatable, with a breathtaking view to match. The old house, renovated and built into the mountain, has a castle-like architecture with stone walls and vaulted ceilings. However, getting there requires climbing up a set of stairs that's unfortunately littered with cat poop and a pretty unpleasant smell - not the hotel's fault, but still a bit of a nuisance. The family running the hotel are super friendly locals, but the breakfast is pretty basic.

Staying at this ancient mansion was a real treat - we were blown away by its sheer age and beauty. The fact that it's been around for over 1000 years is mind-boggling, and we felt incredibly lucky to be able to experience it firsthand. Our hosts were also super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had an amazing time, which they definitely succeeded in doing. Overall, I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable stay.

This hotel in old Mardin has it all - an unbeatable location and views that will take your breath away.
