The location, cleanliness, proximity to everything, and friendly staff—especially Ms. Aya at reception—were all great. However, a direction sign toward the Qibla would help Muslims, the internet is weak and tiring, and each guest needs a unique password, which I couldn’t use on my phone.

The resident manager and the rest of the staff behaved unprofessionally.

I’ve stayed at Marom twice; the first visit was great, so I came back. The beach is nice and the staff are friendly, but the cleanliness was disappointing. I’m not one to complain about every small thing, so I didn’t say anything at first. Yet when my privacy was breached, I had to speak up. At check‑in I immediately noticed a bad odor in the room. I told myself “don’t make a big deal” and tried to enjoy the four days. I moved the carpet away from the bed to eliminate the smell. The next day the housekeeper asked if I wanted the room cleaned; I said no. But the evening before I left, I returned to find the room cleaned even though I hadn’t put a “Please clean my room” sign on the door, and the sign was not even in the room. My personal belongings were left out and valuables were inside, so everything was accessible. I felt my privacy was completely ignored. When I raised the issue at reception, Mr. Abdelrahmen came with another staff member. They addressed the cleanliness, removed the carpets, and cleaned the floor, but said nothing could be done about the housekeeper entering my room without permission; they promised to handle it in the morning. At check‑out I asked to speak with the manager, who had promised I could talk to him the night before. Instead I was sent to Guest Relations. She listened to my complaint but then blamed me, saying I “had not told anyone that nobody was allowed to enter the room.” I had to pause to understand that logic before explaining that it wasn’t my responsibility.

Muhanad and the guest relations team were incredibly hospitable, and there was nothing negative to mention.
