Wild Glamping in the Vienna Alps

“Ganz nett aber nur, wenn man nicht mit Glamping rechnet.”

The view was very nice and there was a good selection of different grills. Four large adults fit comfortably in the hot tub. The showers and toilet were very far away and not on the property. The toilet is public and shared with guests from the neighboring outdoor theatre. It can only be reached via a rickety wooden bridge. To get to the shower you have to walk along the street and cross it. The gas stove unfortunately lit up the whole tent.

“Mooie, rustige plek in de natuur”

The place is fantastic and quiet, situated between the mountains. We enjoyed the hot tub and picking fresh vegetables and herbs. The river was also great for cooling off and building dams with the kids. The offered activities, such as kayaking, are also recommended.

“Nicht im Sommer zu empfehlen, aber vielleicht besser in der Übergangszeit”

The idea isn’t bad, but the execution is. The location is very nice, but why not set the tents on the other side of the toilets in the forest during axe throwing – much nicer, shaded, and quieter. The tent is much too warm during the day – half of the ventilation windows are inaccessible due to the fence and weeds, nobody considered shade – the tent could at least provide shade for the outdoor seating area, but no, the location is a meadow directly in the village, the hot tub is a nice idea but unusable for a layman without instructions (after two hours the fire remains cold, so it was abandoned). Dog: €24 for one night in a tent, seating 40 cm from the path to the toilet: zero privacy. It would not even be acceptable as a campsite, as it gets too warm without trees.

The surroundings are wonderful, surrounded by high mountains, with a view of the grazing, milking cows on the hillside. Quiet, peaceful, I can only recommend it.

It was really great. Something different. The outdoor showers would be too adventurous for me in the long run. For one night it was fine.
