“A peaceful Montagu gem with beautiful gardens”

We enjoyed a fantastic stay at The Vineyard Country House, right in Montagu’s center and within a short walk of the Spar, Montagu Hotel, and many shops and cafés. Estelle, the host, was warm, welcoming, and very accommodating, giving us great local tips that added to our visit. The property felt like a peaceful oasis with well‑kept gardens and a charming vineyard that clearly shows Hein’s passion. Estelle’s breakfasts were a highlight; the banana bread was a wonderful bonus each morning, and the fried tomatoes were outstanding—one of the tastiest we’ve ever had. We loved the relaxing vibe and our private patio, perfect for sunrise and sunset. The outdoor shower was a nice touch we’d definitely use on a warmer trip. Everything was perfect, leaving us refreshed and relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend The Vineyard Country House to anyone visiting Montagu. Absolutely nothing to add.

“Beautiful, would return”

The location inside town was great, and the vineyard and pool with a mountain backdrop were stunning. Breakfast scored a perfect 10/10. The bathroom door wouldn’t close.

“Lovely, relaxing and exceptionally comfortable”

We loved the location—beautiful gardens and easy access to Montagu restaurants. Other positives were the honesty bar, a fridge in our room, and the private stoep with comfy chairs. Everything was done with care for a comfortable stay. The pool looked beautiful, though we didn’t swim. The only downside was a smoker in the next room; to avoid that we’d need a totally non‑smoking house or a wall that reaches the roof. It didn’t stop us from booking again; it was just bad luck.

Spacious, comfortable, clean facilities and wonderful staff, nice breakfasts. Perfectly located. For some reason the air‑con didn’t work properly.

“Ein gemütliches Gästehaus mit einem wunderschönem Garten”

A very cozy guesthouse with a friendly host who even reserved a table for dinner. The beautiful garden invites relaxation and gives the feel of a vineyard in Montagu. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our stay.
