The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Konark temple. If you arrive by bus, disembark at “Labanya Chhak” and the property is right opposite. The rooms are spacious and clean. Host Mr Tutu and his son are very welcoming and helpful with any questions, and they offered great recommendations, which was especially nice for a solo female traveler.

The host, Mr. Tutu, greeted me warmly and was extremely helpful, offering very flexible payment terms, and the place is just a short walk from the Sun temple and nearby restaurants. Nothing else to mention.

The owner is kind and helpful, even though he waited for me until almost midnight; the guest house sits close to the Konark Sun Temple and near the road to Puri. Odisha is surprisingly underrated, full of friendly people and great sites packed into a small area. The place is cheap, so don’t expect a Hilton, and the surroundings are littered with rubbish, which, unfortunately, is common in this part of the world.
