Kawaland offers solid value for those on a budget who still want good hospitality. The grounds are well maintained and the pool is cleaned daily. The drinks are well crafted, especially the cocktails and mocktails. We stayed in the deluxe glamping tier, which had no TV—a minor issue since we were there for family togetherness and already had iPads. The interior is plain, but the exterior features a huge reflective half‑triangle floor‑to‑ceiling window that’s perfect for selfies or photography. The BBQ dinner was especially well executed, and although they initially said we’d have to grill it ourselves, a chef eventually prepared it for us. They also arranged a good vendor for our mangrove tour of the fireflies and snorkeling. We loved the free karaoke night! After a well‑maintained snorkeling and mangrove tour with new equipment, we were surprised by the resort’s kayak gear, which was not in good working condition—the paddles/oars were broken, the life jackets barely had straps and were in poor condition, and there were no appropriate sizes for adults and kids. The food was generous, but the taste varied from day to day.

Privacy, courteous and helpful staff, cleanliness, silence, and good food with variety were all highlights. I’d like to thank Mrs. Septiviana in particular. Unfortunately, the beach area at the edge of the hotel is degraded by litter—plastic, glass, and various objects brought by the sea and left by island residents. A pity.

The place sits in a great spot, the food is tasty, and the staff are friendly. The décor looks good and the pool and other facilities are nice. The only downside was that the room had a mothball smell.
