It is an original motor court built in the 1930s on Route 66, refurbished to its original glory. While it didn’t have a microwave, fridge, or TV, it did have radios in every room, which a 1930s motel wouldn’t have had anyway. The bathrooms were very clean, as was everything else, but the towels were made for an 8‑year‑old.

The spot’s location is perfect for unwinding after a day on Route 66. We showed up a bit early, settled on the patio, watched the sun set, and then saw the neon lights flicker on. Breakfast isn’t part of the room rate, but there’s a great place just next to the motel, and they offered tea, coffee, and water bottles as a nice touch.
