“It was life changing”
The place was gorgeous, with bathrooms, showers, and sinks all functioning flawlessly, and the hosts were even more impressive; there was nothing to complain about.
The authenticity of the site and the owner’s kindness stood out; when we forgot some linens, he kindly reminded us to pick them up.
“Magnifique propriete, jolie chapelle, mais chambre decevante”
The property was beautiful, the 13th‑century chapel was well restored, and breakfast was continental; the hosts were courteous. However, the lack of cleanliness was obvious: the corridor on the second floor—where my room was located—had empty boxes, piles of laundry, a shovel, and a broom; the room itself had a dusty mirror, a fragile curtain rod, a crucifix above the bed, and a worn soap bar in the bathroom drawer; there was no television and the room doors did not lock with a key; the bathroom next to the room had several lamps on a table; during breakfast, the hostess spoke with my brother about Eucharistic miracles, which might not be to everyone’s taste.
“Un retour dans le passé très agréable”
The quietness and style of the location, the warm welcome from the owners who let us explore their 12th‑century chapel, and the pleasant surprise of an impromptu walk through the small woods were all delightful.
“Je continuerai pas avec Booking car pas t’es sérieux”
We liked nothing about this place: the room was dusty, the bathroom was a different world, the bed was uncomfortable, a towel was offered for four days, breakfast always used the same tablecloth for four days, and the owners, though very friendly, were not in line with the promised services; it should be noted that the manor is 200 m from the noisy highway and is very old. The chapel, which had been restored, was the only positive.
