“Es hat alles gepasst”
The whole place feels lovely, the staff are super helpful, the room is big and clean, and the garden is gorgeous. The only downside is that there’s no vegan food on the menu.

It’s incredibly cozy, the staff are friendly and attentive, the food is tasty, and we’re already back for a second visit. The whole family feels at home here.

The hotel looks like a historic country inn from the photos, but it’s actually a beautiful old building with a modern 25‑year‑old extension. We stayed in a spacious corner room with four floor‑to‑ceiling windows that offered a half‑circle view of the countryside—really nice. The room is barebones, no fridge or safe, but we didn’t need air‑conditioning because it was cool. The pool on the ground floor is large and great for swimming, though it’s not a wellness spot, so no drinks or spa services.

The outdoor breakfast area is pleasant, everything is well maintained, and the staff are friendly. The dinner at the on‑site restaurant is excellent, and the location right next to the basilica is convenient. We’d love a bit more fruit, veggies, and spreads for breakfast, and the noise from dishes after 10:30 pm is a bother. Also, there are hardly any brochures about local activities.

The staff are welcoming and offer personal service, but the parking situation is problematic and some rooms need renovation.
