“Es waren zwei ruhige und gemütliche Übernachtungen. Insgesamt kann ich das Kloster St. Marienthal als Gästehaus empfehle”
The beautiful, very quiet setting in nature, the history of the monastery and the chance to explore it on site (e.g., with the audio guide). Breakfast and dinner at the buffet were sufficient and varied. Alternatively, one could use the separate fully equipped tea kitchen in the guesthouse. On arrival a bottle of mineral water was in the room and for the caffeine boost there were Nespresso capsules—super! My single room with an integrated wet room and mini TV was a bit Spartan compared to the other rooms in the guesthouse of St. Marienthal monastery. It seems more intended as a children’s room. The price‑performance ratio didn’t match in this case.
