I paid a fair price for a decent room and good facilities, but a bit of noise from other guests kept me awake early on.

I didn't enjoy anything here; the door wouldn't lock and my iPhone broke when I tried to secure it.

They upgraded me to the presidential suite for a surprisingly reasonable fee, and the adorable, gentle dogs were a highlight I wish I could have taken home. The entrance and parking lot were a touch cramped, and my poor parallel‑parking skills made it hard, but the hosts stepped in and handled the parking for me, which I appreciated.

They run a self‑catering operation, which wasn't listed on their website or maybe I missed it, yet I still liked it even though I didn't need it. Upon arrival I discovered that because I booked a room with two single beds for two men, I could split into separate rooms at no extra cost. I was disappointed, however, that I didn't know beforehand that the rooms only had showers, even though I had requested a bathtub.

The place offered a quiet, private environment, but the lack of internet service was a drawback.
