I stayed for one night while walking the Ridgeway trail. A short detour off the path and I was well looked after. The reception was very friendly and helpful, the room was a good size, light, airy, and spotless. I enjoyed a delicious evening meal and breakfast. A great place to stay, highly recommended.

We got in early because our Ridgeway walk ran shorter than expected, and checking in early was smooth; the staff handed us a drink on the hot day and homemade scones. We’d pre‑ordered lasagne for dinner, and it turned out homemade and delicious; breakfast was also very good. The hosts even gave us a lift the next morning to start the next day's walk. Thanks. The only downside was the lack of Wi‑Fi and no phone signal, which might bother other guests.

We arrived a day early and a very nice lady let us stay anyway, and everything worked out fine. The place is truly dog friendly. The only issue was the absence of air‑conditioning, otherwise it was brilliant.
