The location is great—you can walk to the theater, the Lúcia Almeida viewpoint, and the Adolpho Lisboa market. I arrived early and they let me drop my luggage in the room before check‑in. Be careful, though, because the area around the hostel has many pickpockets, though they don’t bother people.

Knowing it’s a hostel in an old downtown building, the place is surprisingly well maintained and preserved. It’s a shared dorm with shared bathrooms, yet you get a clean, themed room with Amazonian touches and a historic Manaus vibe. The spot is very charming, the staff are attentive and even have volunteer travelers on board. Breakfast is simple but excellent, the common areas are spacious, and the kitchen is good. Great value and location.

The atmosphere feels very family‑like. I found the shower pressure to be very weak.

The hostel is very well situated, practically next to the Amazonas Theater. Breakfast is simple but good. Staff should be better prepared to handle structural issues at the venue.
