“Très bon séjour”
The staff were impeccable, always looking after us. We tried the breakfast, which was quite filling. The location is ideal for exploring the onsens scattered around town. I recommend it. The language barrier made it hard to understand whether the hotel baths were only paid for if we wanted to privatise them at a specific time or if it was always paid. So we didn’t dare use them. We were mainly there for the public baths, so… We also would have liked the futons not to be stored while we had breakfast. It was only 8 am and we would have liked to stretch out a bit after eating.
“感想”
The public areas and my room were spotless, which I really appreciated, and the staff’s courteous service, the handwritten message card, and the homemade recommendation file all showed genuine hospitality. However, the mattress was uncomfortably firm and I struggled to fall asleep, and the way the bedding was made—tucking the duvet and its sheet together with the lower sheet under the mattress—left the sheets a mess when I got into bed, making it even harder to sleep. The dinner was presented as creative cuisine, yet after waiting more than two hours it felt unsatisfying; I would have preferred simple dishes featuring local ingredients.
“快適だったのでまた来年も来ます。”
I loved the bath facilities and found every foreign staff member to be very polite. The building lacks an elevator and the rooms are missing basic amenities, and when a non‑Japanese attendant helped me put on a yukata, it soon started to come apart, probably because they were still a bit inexperienced.
“Perfect place to stay for your kinosaki trip. Its close to the most center place of every bath houses so you don’t have”
We like every bit of the stay. Asuka, the staff who has been very attentive and nice to us has made our stay extra pleasant. She throughly explained everything to us, from how to navigate kinosaki to all the food being served to us for the kaiseki set we ordered. She communicated well with us with English, and we are pleased and happy that the other staff who finds out we aren’t Japanese spoke English with us as well. We do like that Sensui offered 2 private bath that require no reservations, just walk in if you need to when it’s available and we enjoyed a good bath there before bed and after strolling kinosaki town. Unlimited coffee and tea are available at the lounge too. There’s also free sake tasting from 6-10pm. We are given a pass to all attractions in kinosaki, a basket, yukatas, towels, socks and sandals so we are able to visit all the public bath houses in kinosaki. Nothing
“Descanso y relax para repetir!”
The room seemed incredible with a small table and chairs to have a drink in the room, and the service also prepared futons for sleeping. We also loved the private onsens! Nothing negative, everything was great.
