The staff were friendly and pleasant, and the breakfast was very good. However, the evening meal was poor; one dish arrived cold and the pudding was a crumble that wasn’t cooked properly.

Breakfast was absolutely superb.

The dinner was decent with a good selection. The restaurant was chaotic, making it hard to even talk. The floors were slanted and the stairs were narrow and steep, which made moving luggage to the bedroom difficult. Room cleanliness needed improvement—numerous spider webs and spiders were present. The mattress was uncomfortable and sagging. The wooden windows were old and didn’t seal well, and the room was dimly lit. The shower’s steps were loose, and the toilet was loose and moved. Moreover, the toilet was connected to a blender that started up even at night, at least twice, and it was far from silent. A pub on the floor below caused a party that lasted past 3 am; we had to use earplugs and were still disturbed. For those who enjoy a sweet continental breakfast, there was almost nothing besides plain yogurt, cereals, fruit, and sugary, color‑added jams—no cappuccino or espresso.

The location and service were great, and the staff were excellent. There was nothing to dislike.

The area was fine. The carpets were dirty, the bed was very small and uncomfortable, and the lighting in the rooms was very poor.
