We had to skip breakfast because of our early departure, but the owner kindly supplied coffee and cookies, which was very nice. The rooms were clean, the hotel was inexpensive, we’ll come back, and the dinner was excellent.

The welcome was fantastic at this centrally‑located hotel in Spert, with simple, clean rooms that offered views of the village and the mountains, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent in a pleasant setting; pets are also welcome.

The staff were friendly and the hotel sits right in the centre, but that doesn’t make up for all the shortcomings. The place feels like a dated one‑star property and is missing the basics: the room was not clean, the bed was terribly uncomfortable with a soft mattress and rock‑hard pillows, the Wi‑Fi signal was almost non‑existent and, when it did connect, it was painfully slow. Breakfast was a disappointment in a rustic restaurant‑style setting—I expected at least decent quality, yet the fresh fruit in the basket was mouldy, there were no cold cuts or cheeses, the tart looked pre‑packaged and a bit stale, the hot juices came in plastic bottles and the pancakes were boxed, with no savoury options at all, since you can’t just throw some toast on a plate and call it a salty breakfast. The room lacked a TV, a telephone and even a bottle of water, and any request required going down to the front desk.

The property feels wonderfully cosy and comfortable, set against an absolutely stunning landscape, with welcoming staff, a spotless room and a restaurant that serves very good food at great prices; I felt right at home in the family‑like atmosphere, and our dog was treated kindly, so we’ll definitely be back.
