The family running the place were very welcoming, though the apartment itself wasn’t stylish, which didn’t bother us at all.

The spot’s great, the hospitality is top, the food is good, and the rooms stay clean.

It’s fine for a single night; don’t expect luxury, but the couple who manage it are incredibly helpful and sweet.

The view is wonderful, the room isn’t modern but has charm, yet ants were in the room—a common thing in India—and the toilet, especially in the morning, smelled strongly of urine.

Port Vista sits on a side street, handy as a stop between the airport and the port; the room was enough for one night, and the host and his wife were very attentive and friendly, offering us an authentic South‑Indian breakfast. However, like all bathrooms in the area, the shower floods after you finish, and the water pressure is a bit weak.
