“Nie wieder”

The lady at the reception was very friendly, but the room was dirty; in the bathroom there was a corner of something, and a hair lay in the bed. A storage room was also used by the hotel, filled with empty moving boxes and discarded wooden parts, giving the room a patched‑together, old look. There were no key cards or chips—each door required a separate key, so I ended up with three keys. Part of the staff had serious language problems, which slowed down the check‑out. I had looked forward to staying in a hotel and was deeply disappointed. Even the underground parking, which was also littered with garbage containers, cost me about €150 for the night, making the value for money completely off.

It’s close to Kiel train station, the room is large with a balcony, and even though the train runs right outside the window, the room stayed quiet. The breakfast was a bit sparse, and the furnishings were outdated.

The staff were nice and helped carry my luggage because there was no elevator, so I was given a room on the second floor; the shower was great and the room was very spacious. I couldn’t sleep with the window open because of the train noise, and the floors weren’t as clean as I’d hoped.
