Obviously this isn't a stay in a typical hotel, and that's exactly what we were after. Arriving through the dunes already gave a unique atmosphere, while the tent was surprisingly comfortable. We dined, drank Moroccan tea, and enjoyed some music around the fire before spending a quiet evening watching the sky.

We liked that everything felt very natural. It wasn't a tourist‑over‑prepared experience. We were able to talk with the staff, learn a bit more about life in the area, and pick up some tips on preparing Moroccan tea. At night there was music by the fire and a very relaxed vibe. The shop was comfortable and clean. We left with great memories.

We were looking for a place with plenty of activities and late‑night music, so this wasn't the main focus for us, but it was exactly what we wanted. After dinner we heard some music by the fire pit and later the campsite became very quiet. We sat a little away from the group and stared at the sky. In the morning we woke up early and walked across the dunes before it got too hot. A very relaxing night.

The pre‑arrival communication was clear and practical, we received the meeting point and directions in advance, which really made things easier, our luggage was also handled while we joined the camp, and because we were unfamiliar with the area we really appreciated this simple and efficient organization.

We only had one night available in Merzouga and were unsure if the desert camp experience was worth it, but it turned out to be a very good decision; the sunset camel ride was beautiful and the organization was simple, we were greeted with tea on arrival and could rest before dinner, the night was quiet and sleeping in the middle of the desert was a different experience from any hotel.
