We had already stayed in May. We still love the site, its surroundings, the room, the relaxation area, the restaurant and its menu, the welcome, and the friendly, attentive team. Keep it up and thanks to everyone.

The restaurant room is lovely, especially the veranda area overlooking the park where deer and fawns roam, and the castle park just next door. The restaurant opens in the evening after excursions, with attentive service. The village of Birkenwald, with its many sandstone houses and its position at the foot of beautiful mountain roads (Wangenbourg, Col des Pandours, Dabo…) is charming. Nothing to add.

The setting, the welcome, the friendliness. The food was excellent and generous. A pretty little town full of charm and history. One tiny flaw: kitchen smells drifted through the open window of our room.

The hotel is rural, quiet and idyllic at the forest edge, next to a deer enclosure. The rooms are modern, clean and spacious. We didn’t use the wellness area, so no rating there. Our small dog was no problem, neither in the hotel nor in the restaurant. Dining there is excellent. Prices are fair, portions large. The cuisine is more than above‑average, bourgeois with a touch of French flair, which explains why the restaurant was very busy. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive. No reason for complaint.
