It’s a solid pick in town with a great location and friendly staff, but the room was very small even though I had booked a triple room for the two of us, leaving almost no place to sit. Cleaning only happened when I requested it, which seems to be a common practice across Iceland. It feels like a cost‑cutting strategy to maximize profit, and as a guest I’m not sure I appreciate that. The hotel is popular with tour groups.

The food tasted very good, but the window glass was very dirty and you could only open a very small window. For someone with claustrophobia, it would be very hard to find peace here. The other “window” cannot be opened.
