“Great location, welcoming staff, clean room, fun firepit area where we met nice people. Would stay again.”

The hotel is within walking distance to restaurants and sits nicely among tall trees. The fire pit came with plenty of wood, and the manager was wonderful, helpful and kind. The thin walls are a downside, but you can’t help that.

“Excellent at this price point.”

The staff were helpful and always ready to assist. The hotel is close to Fallen Leaf Lake, restaurants, shops, bike trails, and beaches, and it welcomes pets. The rooms are spacious enough for pets and gear, and there are plenty of indoor and outdoor seating spots. The shower handle was loose and hard to turn, and the caulking around the sink in room 206 was coming off.

“Overall, it feels quite overpriced for what you get. 3 out of 10”

The place is in a convenient spot, but everything feels like cheap motel quality and the photos don’t reflect that. I found several broken items, and the biggest issue was that the entrance door latch was broken, so the door wouldn’t lock. When I told the manager, he said, “Just slam it a few times and it’ll lock eventually.” He offered a discount, but I was still charged the full amount. The hotel sits right next to a busy fast‑food burger joint, so the cooking smells are strong, and in our case, people were smoking just outside our room (not the hotel’s fault, but worth noting). Overall, it seems overpriced for what you get—about 3 out of 10.
