“Conveniently placed cosy hotel”
This charming hotel feels a little old‑fashioned but the service is solid, giving it a decent overall vibe.

Located on the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, Nant Yr Odyn Country Hotel & Restaurant Ltd offers 18th-century converted farmhouse accommodations with traditional rooms featuring en suite bathrooms, tea and coffee facilities, and ample work space. Many rooms boast stunning views of the Snowdonia Mountains and Malltraeth Marshes. The Anglesey Restaurant serves local Welsh cuisine, and the hotel is 400 meters from the A55 Holyhead-Chester Euroroute.

Stopping here after arriving by ferry before heading home was perfect, and the food was truly exceptional.

The location lets you reach several spots around the island, making it easy to explore. The calm, bucolic setting is nice, and the breakfast menu options are good, as is the restaurant. The bathroom light‑switch system is uncomfortable (pull‑type switches), and both the Wi‑Fi and cell reception are poor.

It’s my third stay at Nant yr Odyn, and the spot’s spot‑on for visiting friends and family in Anglesey, where I grew up. The relaxed, country‑hotel feel and attentive staff make it a great choice. Breakfast is varied, included in the price, and I’d give the full Welsh cooked breakfast a 99.9 % rating. My sister and brother‑in‑law joined me for Sunday lunch, which was also excellent. I strongly recommend it. The only drawback is the lack of a wardrobe; hangers are on the door, which isn’t a big issue for a solo traveler, and there are plenty of drawers for other items.
