The spot is just a short walk from the airport, but the room left a lot to be desired. The towel and bedsheet were filthy, and hair was found under the pillow. In the bathroom, dirty boiler water dripped onto the floor. It was the only place we stayed during our last night in Oman, after a great stay in the Old Town of Muscat for the same price, so this place was a huge let‑down. I’ve never had such a dirty experience on Booking before.

I booked a taxi to the airport in advance, but the hotel couldn’t arrange it. I ended up getting a late ride to the airport from a hotel guest instead.

The manager, Anis, was very kind and attentive. He made sure I had everything I needed for the night, suggested places to visit nearby, and walked me to the start of the street. In the evening, when I was heading back, he helped me out so I wouldn’t be walking alone in the dark. The taxi service for airport transfers was quick and efficient.
