The spot was convenient, yet the bathroom was filthy, the window shades had yellow stains, a mix of mold and rot filled the air, the furniture was old and scratched, and the carpet was worn out. Even after I complained, the bathroom dirt was never cleaned.

I was struck by how stylish the hotel felt for its price, the staff were outstanding, the bar offered a stunning city view, and the bedroom was very spacious. The only drawback was the air‑conditioning: arriving in late October when it was cool outside, the room was unbearably hot and the windows couldn’t be opened.
