Good beach, coastline, a pool, a slow river, and a few slides. Friendly staff, good breakfast, a cocktail bar, and you can eat without leaving the hotel. The pool water isn’t heated, so swimming in it was uncomfortable. The slow river seemed warm at first, but on the second day it stopped heating for some reason. The jacuzzi was very dirty, with constant floating particles and a film on the surface, making it unpleasant to use. It’s clear the hotel hasn’t been renovated in a long time; especially the water areas look like they need repair.

The beach is super easy to reach and the hotel looks great. At night we stepped onto the balcony on the second floor, sat down, and discovered it was infested with cockroaches, so we left immediately; they really need to pay more attention to that.

The bed was comfy and the pillows were excellent. Getting to the beach was a breeze. The balcony offered a fantastic view of the beach and ocean, and there are nice restaurants within a short walk. The pier construction was a bit annoying while we were enjoying the beach, but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

Breakfast was decent, and the gym was awesome. The bed wasn’t a King and the sheets felt crunchy. Aside from breakfast, the hotel food was terrible. We were celebrating a birthday and a 42‑year anniversary and were let down that the hotel offered no upgrades, even though we’re Marriott members.
