The AC was good, the people were friendly, and the spot was great for watching insects; the guides even let us into the nearby Lupa Masa Reserve. The beds, however, felt a bit wobbly.

It was a beautiful, quiet place with lovely hosts, delicious local food, and I even got to join the Harvest Festival that was happening right at the accommodation.

It was close to the hot springs, but the owners had a fire at the property the day before we arrived, and they never told us or refunded us even though they claimed the building was fine. The power kept tripping in the afternoon and night, so we didn’t feel safe and left in the morning even though we’d paid for another night. They apologized but said they couldn’t refund the night we didn’t stay.

Jay was a considerate and friendly host who drove us to Poring for dinner and back to catch our minibus the next morning. The lodging was basic but reasonably priced compared to other options.
