The location is very good and the parking is underground. The place is attractive, but there is clearly room for improvement. The Hotel Hirsch has great potential: a prime spot right on the market square, large rooms, and a lovely outdoor terrace. Unfortunately, this potential is undermined by poor organization, cleanliness, and upkeep. Breakfast was chaotic at times. Staff seemed understaffed and apparently not fully trained. Tables were sometimes only superficially wiped and not thoroughly cleaned. Dirty lids weren’t replaced, and crumbs and breakfast remnants were still on the chairs. Even after wiping, chairs were often left pushed back and disorderly, giving the entire breakfast area a messy impression. The buffet was repeatedly emptied, and refilling lagged. Occasionally cups, glasses, or jam ran out without prompt notice or restocking. The otherwise nice outdoor terrace also looked untidy: lots of weeds, unclean tables, disordered chairs, full ashtrays, and many cobwebs on the canopy. Dirty windows and a laundry cart with soiled hotel linens right in front of the elevator to the underground parking were also unpleasant. From my view, the main issue is a lack of good organization and someone who regularly monitors cleanliness, order, and the many small details. It’s a shame because the hotel could offer much more given its excellent location, large rooms, and generally nice premises. With better organization, deeper cleaning, and more attention to detail, the overall impression could be significantly improved.

The room was very good, spacious, and offered a beautiful view of the town hall and market square, plus it was quiet. The underground parking was easy to reach. Breakfast only had a coffee machine that didn’t always work, which caused queues. The scrambled eggs and bacon were excellent. The cheese and sausage selection was “clear”. The jam portions were very small. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable.

We stayed four days at the hotel and the rooms were nice with a good restaurant. However, despite complaining, the room was never cleaned. The only thing they did was hand us fresh towels, and that was it.
