The old property is great, with nice facilities and a staff that was friendly and attentive to our needs. The only issue was that the hot water on the second floor wasn’t sufficient and needs improvement.

The building’s design and flair, the comfy beds, and the plentiful breakfast made for a great stay, and the location in Key West old town was spot‑on; everything stayed spotless. However, smoking isn’t permitted anywhere in the complex, even outside, though there is a smoking area right in front of the main office. The room felt a bit cramped unless you have a lot of luggage, in which case it could be better.

The hotel sits in an old, charming building with all its pros and cons. The bed was comfortable, and the chairs outside let you relax in the evening while watching the Whitehead Road neighborhood. The steep climb to the second floor is a drawback, and breakfast was okay but could be better.

The spot was fantastic, the pool was a highlight, and the breakfast was excellent. The only downside was that the window near the air conditioner lacked privacy and could use an upgrade.
