The charming guesthouse is run by Gladys, who is very kind, helpful, and flexible; we had a wonderful stay with her, her partner, and their son Diego. The accommodation is clean, outdoors, and the pool is very pleasant. It’s a 1‑hour walk to the park entrance and a 3‑hour walk to Playa Brava, with daily sightings of howling monkeys and titi monkeys in the surrounding trees—thanks for that bonus!

The location in nature and the proximity to the Calabazo entrance are great, and the shared kitchen and pool add to the experience.

Gladis runs a lovely place in the forest; she’s very helpful and caring, and the setting is quiet and simple amid the sounds of nature.

Gladys was truly amazing—friendly, welcoming, and helpful! The place feels magical, almost cut off from the world, and it’s really refreshing. The pool and the mangoes are great. The bungalow mattress isn’t very comfortable, and a small mosquito net over the bed would be nice. If you’re looking for internet, there isn’t any.
