Houseboat Concordia B&B, a charming floating guesthouse in Amsterdam’s City Centre, offers a unique stay on the canals. Located just 1.3 km from the Dutch National Opera & Ballet and 1.4 km from Carre Theatre, it provides free WiFi, a kitchenette, and a cozy lounge. The tram line is a five‑minute walk, and Rembrandtplein is 1.7 km away.

The studio on top of the houseboat and its location were delightful; the quiet neighbourhood and the efficient, reasonably priced public transport made getting around a breeze, especially with apps like 9292, Citymapper, and Google Maps. The property was a bit larger than the photos suggested, clean, welcoming, and comfortable, and the full‑length windows that open onto the canal were a highlight. We spotted a heron as soon as we stepped off the bus and walked a few steps to the houseboat. A simple breakfast supply and a welcome fridge were included, and we appreciated having no cooking facilities, which encouraged us to try many local takeaways. We rebooked the iamsterdam city card for museum access, attractions, and public transport, and the hosts pointed this out, which was a great suggestion. The hosts were wonderful, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Staying on a houseboat on a canal in Amsterdam is hard to beat, with so many attractions and museums just a pleasant walk away. There is nothing not to like; it’s a perfect base for exploring the city’s museums and attractions.

The place was comfortable, relaxing, and the location was out of the hustle and bustle yet still central enough to enjoy the city; the host was nice. A slightly more complete kitchen would have turned it into an 11 out of 10.
