Hotel Ristorante La Conchiglia

The location was good, but the breakfast was just okay. After checking in we discovered ants in our room. I went to the front desk to report it and ask for another room, but they only asked how many ants there were. They claimed no other rooms were available—even though it was low season—and handed us an ant spray to deal with it ourselves. Thankfully the spray worked and the issue was resolved, but we wished the staff had handled it better. No one followed up to see if the spray had helped or to assess the situation. Overall we expected more attention and service from the hotel.

“Wonderful 5-night break!”

The place is in a fabulous spot right on the seafront, and everything is spotlessly clean. The hotel feels freshly renovated and tastefully decorated. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, especially Linda at reception. Breakfast was varied, high quality, and plentiful, and we especially liked eating it on the front terrace. Several restaurants and cafés were very close, and the marina/port for boat trips was just a 10‑minute walk away. We found free parking on a nearby side street for the whole stay.

“Prima uitvalsbasis voor tochten naar de Gorrupu of Cala Goloritze (of andere Cala's).”

The room was nice with a great bed. The side sea view wasn’t thrilling, but that wasn’t our priority. The bathroom was clean and had everything you need. Breakfast was quite extensive (not what we’re used to in Italy), ranging from plain bread and croissants to pizza and scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, and two types of yogurt. The coffee was good, with various options but all made from beans. Some staff were less hospitable; we expected a “buongiorno” or something similar when we entered, but some were preoccupied with themselves, other staff, or simply didn’t think of it. The receptionist was very friendly and helped with any questions she could. The lady at breakfast also did her best.

Breakfast was very varied and tasty. The rooms are very modern, clean, and spacious. Unfortunately our mattresses were a bit saggy. The room doors only close with a strong tug, so they always creak when someone shuts a door on the hallway. Also, the rooms are very noisy to the outside.
